Are you an “over the sink eater”? I used to be totally guilty of this! I’d eat standing over the sink in the kitchen or over the cutting board on the counter. I used to eat while doing some other activity. I ate while ironing, texting, writing, you name it.
Then one day I began eating mindfully. Not just being truly present with where I was eating but WHAT I was eating also. I went from eating whatever was around (generally not very healthy foods), to eating organic, fresh, gmo free food. Real food. I began eating like I gave a damn. It’s so important to actually enjoy the experience of eating and to consume food that will nourish your body. Today be mindful of what you’re eating. Sit down at an actual table and simply focus on eating. Enjoy your food and appreciate it. Eat like you give a damn.
