Fruit Calzones
Serves: 8
Ingredients
  • 1 (1 lb.) pkg. pizza dough, thawed if frozen
  • 8 tsp. fruit preserves
  • 1 medium Golden Delicious apple, grated
  • ½ cup blueberries or raspberries
  • ¼ cup sucanat or turbinado sugar
Instructions
  1. Line up dough ovals on work surface.
  2. Brush edges with water.
  3. Place 1 tsp. fruit spread inside water brushed edge on bottom third of oval.
  4. Top with 1 tsp. grated apple and 1 Tbsp. berries.
  5. Fold top dough half over fruit filling; press on edges to seal.
  6. Repeat with remaining ingredients.
  7. Transfer calzones to prepared baking sheet, flipping over so bottom side is on top.
  8. Crimp edges with a fork to seal.
  9. Brush calzones with water and sprinkle with sugar.
  10. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until calzones are golden brown.
  11. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
